It may seem like silly question but do you need events calendar and tickets to sell a ticket for an event? I have found out that the free version of events does not even take the name of an attendee. We are forced to upgrade to tickets plus if we want that option. Everyone needs to know the name of the attendee, don’t they.

Can you just have tickets installed and still sell events?

Hi @rdwebstuff24, that’s a good question. Re free plugins Event Tickets, you do not need The Events Calendar to sell Tickets and RSVPs, you can add it to a Pages and Posts. Go to Tickets → Settings → General Tab → Post types that can have ticketsCheck both Pages and Posts.

I?have found out that the free version of events does not even take the name of an attendee.?

That’s correct, Attendee registration forms are only available with the Pro version of the plugin. If you have more questions about it, please open a Support Ticket on our Help Desk for us to follow WordPress Forum Guidelines regarding premium plugins.??

We’d be with you shortly. Have a great day!

Thanks for getting back to me. I can see how to add a ticket to a ‘page’ and I am using Divi. But if we don’t use events, how do I put in the price of the ticket etc?

    Hi @rdwebstuff24

    Thanks for your response.

If you’re not using The Events Calendar, you can still add your ticket price on the tickets block. Please check our knowledgebase article for more details: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-event-tickets-without-the-events-calendar/

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.

Thanks for getting back to me. I can see how I add a ticket now without events. Seems I have to use the default editor in this case and not the Divi.

    Thanks
