I’ve encountered a bug of some sort. I’m running Events Manager in a multisite configuration and several of my users are reporting that their events are disappearing and not showing on their calendar. Yet they are counted by the little numbered chevron next to Events in the Dashboard.

I check the database and find several events for their site yet some or all of them depending on the site are absent from their list.

I’ve attempted to recreate the issue but the circumstances under which the events disappear don’t seem to be tied to any one issue.

I’m not sure where the bug is occurring but here’s some examples of how it presents.

https://i.imgur.com/TckpHgo.png This image shows 2 events (Though the count is showing 5?)

https://i.imgur.com/wI8nEnU.png This is the actual events as they appear in the database. Event 2 isn’t showing up anywhere.

In this screenshot I’ve created 2 more events, event 4 and event 5
https://i.imgur.com/htEnYds.png I’m displaying (all) but Event 5 isn’t showing up.

https://i.imgur.com/tpjWcJA.png if I click on Drafts then Event 5 shows up? Just not under all? And Event 2 is still nowhere to be found.

  • The All/Published/Draft counts don’t filter by date. If you change the dropdown from “Future events” to “All events”, the counts should match the number of events displayed.

I had the same thing, almost all of my events have gone yet the count at the top left says 31!

I can’t even see some of my events in my database i’ve tried deactivating all of my plugins but that hasnt made a difference.

i think i’ve found the events in wp_posts in the database

@dylan Barlett some events do, others still don’t show up, either in the calendar or the interface.
It’s the not showing up in the Calendar that had alerted my users to the problem.

Here’s a series of screenshots from a site that’s having issues.

No combination of filtering shows the missing events.

Which version of Events Manager are you guys using?

From the screenshots, it looks like none of these events have a category associated with them. If you add a category does that fix the filtering?

Do you have, or have you had, another events plugin installed? I’ve seen a similar issue once before caused by a clash with another events plugin.

    Thanks.

    I have Version 5.5.3.1 installed.
A few months ago i was trialling some events plugins and have had no problems before.

I had about 30 events and now i only have one normal event and a recurring event.

Version 5.5.3.1, I may have had other event manager plugins installed I was evaluating many plugins.

I don’t seem to have an option to add categories. I looked at the screenshots on the plugin page once again just to confirm and it looks like it’s missing for me.

this might be a theme/plugin conflict and to confirm; just to narrow down the problem and help us debug the issue is it possible to try the following temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

So the events might show up if it is a conflicting plugin/theme? I’ve tried both and nothing has happened.

If you look directly at the database – using something phpMyAdmin – can you see the missing events?

No they are not, not in wp_post or em_events

some events are still there, and ones that i have deleted previously. Locations and things are also still there its just like the last big group of events that were uploaded

Just to clarify: Are all the events missing from the admin area also missing from wp_em_events, or only some?

I can’t reliably replicate the missing events so I just have to keep making events until one or more of them disappear. But my issue does appear to be slightly different than tanyawright’s the events do appear in the table seemingly properly.

I’m disabling addons and creating events and will post when I’ve got more information, I just have to wait until the systems not in active use.

Im pretty sure all of them, sorry i didnt upload all of them myself so i’ve been trying to make sure
