Events from multisite blogs not showing on category pages

Hi there, thank you in advance to anyone who can help, I will try to explain this as best I can.

I have a multisite network where users can create their own events from within their own blog site (subdomains). Everything is showing on my main site except for on the categories page, whereas the events made from the main site DO show up, but the events from a user blog DO NOT show up on a category page.

For instance on the page “events-categories/science” blog events set up by a user in their own admin where the category “science” is chosen does not show up on the main site under science. Any ideas?
