Events have disappeared!!

    Hi,

    Am looking into this issue on someone else’s behalf so please bear with me. As of yesterday all the events on the main events listing page have completely disappeared!!

    If you type in a term in the search box such as ‘London’ for example then events will display. All the events are working at the back end.

    So far I have updated the plugin, disabled all other plugins, reset the event manager settings, and even disabled the CSS, but nothing seems to make the events appear! I am racking my brains as to why, as as far as am aware nothing has changed this end to cause it to stop working.

    Any help very gratefully received.

  • is this the default events listing page? or you are using shortcode? e.g. if you click on category ‘Heritage’ then click Search you will see the events.

    also, did you modified any EM templates? and try Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives > Default event list options

    Thanks for replying – yes it is the default listings page. As you rightly point out everything else works (categories, locations, search etc) just won’t display a list of upcoming events.

    Have completely reinstalled the plugin, tried setting a different page to be the default listing page – but no luck. Bizarrely if you set it to display all events in ascending order it works, but only up to March 15th 2013!!

    Have got three people looking at this now but no-one can figure out why it’s no longer working!

    I can’t find your new events page… i went to your original link but that’s not showing a list anymore.

    are you even using Events Manager? the add event form is different to ours… if you’ve made any hacks, could it be due to that?

    Type in for example London in the search, or pick a category and the events show. They also show if I change the settings to ‘Show All Event’ and ‘Ascending’ as the order, but then only events up tunil March 15th show!?!

    I cannot fathom out what’s going on here. All the template files have been reinstalled from the plugin so there should be no hacks etc. That signup-form is something separate I think. I didn’t build the site so am coming a bit late to the party, but it was definitely working this weekend and nothing has changed at the back end?!?

    In addition notice how the footer is also missing. We’ve run some tests and it seems the plugin fails causing the rest of the page not to be produced

    At last – have fixed the problem. One of the events had for some reason become corrupted – managed to delete it from the database itself and that seems to have done the trick.

    Now need to find out how to get thumbnails of the featured image appearing on that event list page ??
