Hi there, just noticed that our events are displaying with the most recently upcoming event displaying last, instead of first (I assume this is described as reverse chronological order?), Not sure why this would be, or if it is a glitch. I would assume the events should show in every case with the nearest upcoming date the first in the display/list…can you advise how to correct this please?
    Many thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • That page appears to a regular wordpress posttype archive or a page with a custom query in the template, not one of the views generated by The Events Calendar plugin, so it’s displaying your events as it would blog posts, in reverse chronological order – newest (latest date) first to oldest (earliest date). The actual TEC list view is here: https://www.riverdove.com/events/list/ and does show them in the expected soonest-first order.

To display them in order as they’re coming up, you’d need to modify the WP_Query either directly, if it’s coded into the template, or with a pre_get_posts filter in your functions.php or somewhere if it’s just an archive view.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out!

@lsell is spot on with that comment.

If you do want to reverse the order of your events, check out this KB article:
