Events Logged In Analytics, but Goals Not Being Tracked

Sounds like the goal may be misconfigured. Please double-check that your goal matches exactly the event name, including the capitalization.

I had this same issue – Category had to be equal to “Contact Form” not Contact Form 7, and the label only worked if I used the form ID, not the name I gave it.

I’m wondering if there is a way to get the label to display the name of the form instead of the ID? Thanks for your great plugin!

Same here. Everything was fine and in the last days all my GA accounts show no goals.

What have changed?
I double checked and it looks to be correctly configured.

I’m able to see events but no goals at all.

Sorry—version 1.8.2 had a bug that sent form IDs instead of names. I just pushed v1.8.3 to fix that issue. Please update and check for new events.

v1.8.4 includes a fix for the event category; going forward, “Contact Form 7” will work.

So, I can still use the form name (label) and just “Contact Form” (category)? Or must I change something?

I’d recommend using “Contact Form 7” for the category instead of “Contact Form” as I’ll likely change that in the future to be consistent with all GA configurations.e

Same problem here… I just changed category to “Contact Form” since never was able to register any event using “Contact Form 7″…

I am using Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP), don′t if this could affect… In any case all event tracking is on in this plugin

After you update to v1.8.4, “Contact Form 7” should work going forward.

Just to double check:
I am using:
Category equal to Contact Form 7
Action equal to Mail Sent
Label equal to Mail Sent
Value equal to 1

No conversions recorded, only events.

I’ve checked everything and still not working.

Category: Contact Form 7
Action: Mail Sent
Label: “My Form Name”
Value: *empty*

I’m using the same as some weeks ago, when everything was fine, just changed to Contact Form 7, as you recommend.

I’m using Monster Insights, maybe some conflict?

@dothedance If you are getting events in GA but not conversions, then double-check your conversions settings in GA.

I think GA goals are not retro-active, so you’ll only see new events going forward after the change, not any historical goals.

Sure, I tested some days ago and sent multiple forms. I was able to see events in real time but there is no conversions recorded.
