Events Manager Buddypress, change default events page link

Hi,

I’m trying to alter the default link of the events tab in the profile so that instead of listing events + locations (/username/events) then going to another page (/username/events/my-events/) before you can click on “add event”, it goes to the my-events page by default. I tried to edit bp-em-core.php (i’m desperate!) but when I just replaced the slug, it messed up the on states of the tab.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction to locate the appropriate function to change this?
