Events Manager Plugin adding custom search fields by attributes

I am using version 3.7.1. I have already installed and activated the plug Events Manager…not the Pro version. I have been successful in adding a few attributes and modified the Events Form to have these attributes appear on the front end. Next I would like to be able to search by a few of these attributes.

Example one of the attributes I have is #_ATT{Fee}. Which gives the price of the event. I would like users to be able to search for free events or events under a certain price. I will admit I am a beginner when it comes to coding and WordPress. I have read the posts found below however it is not detailed enough for me and I am not sure exactly which documents I need to add the code to and where on the documents. Plus I would like to also add a ‘search by venue’ option as well under the advance search.
