Just a quick overview of the problem:

    • No data is being sent from my website to GA4?
    • On Sunday 1st September I added a consent banner to my website using complianz, the following day no events were recorded on GA4.
    • The number of events dropped from around 350 per day to 0 overnight.
    • There has been no events recorded since the installation of complianz plugin
    • I can see on GSC that people are still searching for my website and I know people are still actively using it

    What I have done:

    1. When I enter google tag manager, and preview a container with my latest changes. And enter a website using tag assistant, I can see that events are triggered on GTM, but they are not being sent to my google analytics account.?
    2. I can see I do not get realtime reporting?in GA4, even when I am tracking my own website visit
    3. I have checked the property ID, and container ID are correct
    4. I have also configured complianz according to the guidelines
    5. I can see the complianz tag firing correctly on my website, and the banner is correctly implemented on the website

Any help would be much appreciated

Additionally, as a test I have used Google Tag Assistant to access my homepage. I click accept on consent banner and when I look at the current state it is still showing as “Denied”

I have a page_view events triggering with G100 cookie consent status, despite accepting cookie policy

    Hello,

    thanks for your message.

In order to solve the issue I’ll need:

    1) Screenshot of the sections “Statistics” and “Statistics configuration” of our plugin wizard
    2) Screenshot of our GTM template/tag
    3) Screenshot of the tags you have in your GTM container

    Thanks in advance

    up,

    Hi @wp4wawa,

thanks for the screenshot but your configuration is not correct.

    1. From the section “Statistics configuration” you didn’t embed GTM with our plugin since you’ve already embedded it (or GA) with a third-party integration. You should remove all previous third-party integrations of GTM and GA and embed GTM only with our plugin once done the first step mentioned above
    2. From your GTM container you put the wrong trigger for the Google Analytics tag, you should only put “All pages”

Please follow this guide and, if it didn’t work, then open a ticket from our official support center in our website.

Thank you for your response. However, after following your instructions and tutorials, things have worsened. My Google Tag Manager can no longer connect to my site. I’ve tried disabling and enabling GTM4WP with the suggested settings, but nothing seems to work.

Additionally, I uninstalled Google Site Kit and removed part of the GTM code from my header.php file.

Here are some photos for reference:

    1. GTM introduced via Complianz: Photo
    2. Trigger set to “All Pages”: Photo
    3. GTM4WP disabled: Photo

I’m really stuck and would appreciate further guidance!

also consent mode activated : https://postimg.cc/Snt5SDW3

@wp4wawa if you can activate the Consent Mode feature is because you’re a paying user, in your case you should contact us from our official support center inside our website, this is because we cannot support paying users from the WordPress forum.

Once you’ll contact us we’ll investigate the issue and solve the problem
