• Hello,

I am trying to import events via an .ICS feed. I am not getting an error message, so I keep thinking that the feed has worked – and yet no events are being added.

Two different .ICS feeds both work. I know it isn’t a problem with the feed itself because I can view the events in other software. Just for some reason it isn’t importing.

My website is https://www.isleworthsyon.org. I have tried deactivating and reactivating but to no avail. I’m on the latest version.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

Can you please provide the feed url you are trying to import.

Calendar can not import events because the time zone field has a different format, for example, in this feed time zone is “Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London” and it should be “Europe/Dublin”.

@bsokic – I’ve seen a few posts with this problem (including myself) and most are using outlook calendars – Outlook uses “(UTC+00:00) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London”. “Europe/Dublin” is not an option.

So I tried changing my Outlook timezone to “(UTC) Coodinated Universal Time” but the import still fails with:
Processing “Array” triggered error: Failed to parse one or more dates given timezone “‘(UTC) Coordinated Universal Time'”

    Thanks for your replies.

The curious thing about this is I have three calendar feeds, all running through Office 365. Two upload to the calendar with no problems, and one doesn’t.

    The ones that work are:

    Thanks.

Could you send a link of the one that doesn’t work too?

It’s above in this thread ^

    Duh sorry ??

Haven’t had my first coffee yet.

So the ones that work for you are in timezone GMT and the one that doesn’t is UTC+00:00 Dublin, Edinburgh (etc).

How did you get the other two in GMT? I can’t find a way to change mine to GMT – it’s UTC+00 Dublin (etc) or nothing.

    Good morning –

As per above, the IT team here have done a lot of investigation into this, as this one calendar is still not recognised by the plugin. See below:

“I have done a lot of testing, I even called Microsoft and it seems as Microsoft have changed their codes regarding calendars in the ICS from:
    TZID:GMT Standard Time
    To
    TZID:(UTC+00:00) Dublin\, Edinburgh\, Lisbon\, London
As a default Time Zone Code, even if you change to GMT using PowerShell it still Shows UTC+00:00) Dublin\, Edinb… as UTC and GMT means the same thing. I have tried creating new calendars and they are automatically created using UTC system even if they are not UK time straight away after I change their time-zone onto GMT using PowerShell they become TZID:(UTC+00:00) Dublin\, Edin… in the ICS Published calendar. I am afraid that if we ever have to republish other calendars they could become UTC.”

They ask if it’s possible to add some code into the plugin to recognise UTC+00:00… as a new standard or make the plugin understand UTC as GMT. It seems that all new calendars in O365 are automatically made with the UTC timezone and it’s impossible to change. Any help would really be appreciated as I need this calendar on my website.
