Hi there. I just installed Pixel Cat and am having trouble getting it working. I have a valid Pixel (double-checked the # is correct), and I see the code is being inserted in the header (with the correct pixel code), and I see code further down the page with the triggers for the Facebook Events I created (AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, ViewContent) – but when I use the Pixel Helper tool I get strange results. The icon does not turn blue, but it does say there is a pixel installed on the page.

Is the pixel just not active somehow? Is there another step I’m missing here?

Toggling the “WooCommerce events for Facebook Pixel” setting on and off doesn’t seem to work either (which is why I was trying to manually set up some events)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for reaching out to us. I will be happy to help.

Do you still have Pixel Cat active on your site? I can see events like “Add to Cart” and “Initiate Checkout” are firing on the Pixel Helper extension. Maybe you can send me a screenshot of what you are getting with your Pixel Helper.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    All the best.

Gah! OK, this is stupid. Sorry. My ad-blocker was making things not show up correctly. And now I’m starting to see activity in the Facebook Events Manager, so things seem to be working.

QUESTION though… Using the lite/free version (for now) do I need to set up individual Facebook Events, or does turning on “WooCommerce events for Facebook Pixel” take care of what I need for cart-related stuff? Your tutorial said I wouldn’t have access to the WooCommerce setup with the free version, but it seems to be active. Thanks for clarifying! (and sorry for forgetting to turn off my ad-blocker…)

    Hi Matthew,

Great, happy to hear you got that working.

Yes, turning on “WooCommerce events for Facebook Pixel” will take care of what most people need for Pixel tracking. Unless there is a more specific event you wish to track not covered.

Thanks again for pointing that out. I will let the team know.

If there is anything else, don’t hesitate to get back to us.

    All the best.
