Events not searchable and more questions?

    Hi

    I am using the Events Manager plugin on a Buddypress-based community site. I noted that if you do a search, using the main site search, even for a tag or title found in a submitted event, nothing connected to events comes in results & so nothing is found!

    • How can I ensure Events are included in searches, such as blog, page & other content?
    • Secondly, for repeating events, is it only possible to add events for a given number of days that take place at exactly the same times, like every day for so many days between 11:00am & 2pm & none that may take place on consecutive days, but probably at varying times on different days on some of them? This was possible with another events plugin I gave up for this. One could also skip some days. If so, is there any documentation on this?

    I am quite new to WP … & NOT a coder.

  • Hi,

    For the first point, you need to check Include in WordPress Searches? under Event List /Archives under Events > Settings > Pages.

    If I understand the second question correctly, you can do that by setting up a Recurring Event and then going to Events > Events and selecting Detach (to separate it from the original Recurring Event) and then editing the event to making the changes to the times and so on.
