So…long story short, there are something like 27 events in March of 2023 that staff have entered, but when viewing the calendar in Month View online, it only shows like 6 or 7 of them. PLUS, as we’re currently seeing it, on Sunday, March 5th, 2023, the calendar view shows two events from the same organization, the second one occurring in NOVEMBER. Why is it showing up here? The list view button doesn’t ven switch to the List when I’m viewing March ’23.

When I finally am able to switch into a list view, dates are all out of order, things missing. E.g. https://www.amazonasmagazine.com/events/list/?tribe-bar-date=2023-03-01&eventDisplay=past – goes from February to April and then March under April?

Something is clearly very fundamentally broken right now. All plugins on the site are current.

Please note, after posting this, I noticed version 6.0.6?was running, and an update was needed. An update to 6.0.6.1 was applied, but the problem remains.

    E.g.

    https://www.amazonasmagazine.com/events/list/?tribe-bar-date=2023-03-01

Seem to be an issue with permalinks.
Have you tested if the issue is solved when you confirm the settings under settings > permalinks without changing them by clicking on the “Save settings” button?

I can tell you that a) the site has been running for years without issues and b) while interesting, resaving the permalink structure (without changes) did not resolve the problems with the Event Calender plugin.

Also, I’ve gone through some preliminary checks for plugin conflicts, but nothing has been fruitful there. Trying other themes and the problems remain in the Calendar plugin, too.

Hi @mpedersen, sorry to hear about this. We’ve had some issues with v6.0.6.1, could you try updating to v6.0.6.2 and see if that fixes the issue you’re having?

Abz, we are currently running Version 6.0.6.2; the problems I reported remain.

Hi @mpedersen, sorry to hear about this. We have a similar issue with our Pro version → Events revert to current or swapped date after save (classic editor). I wonder if it is related to what you’re experiencing.

Regardless, could you try this workaround here:

    • Go to Events > Settings > Display and change the Compact Date Format to the default option (2022-01-15).
    • Use the block editor for editing events.

Please let me know if that does the trick for you.

    Best,
    Abz

Abz, you might be on to something. I can tell you that the first thing I did was to change the date format to the default; that didn’t work; the sorting problems and display problems remain.

We have the Classic Editor plugin installed, but it is NOT active. However, the block editor setting was not checked in the plugin’s settings, so I checked that off. That also failed to fix anything.

I went into all the March events and saved them via clicking “update” without any changes being made. That did do something….but not anything good. The March 2023 events still fail to all show on the Calendar View; it looks exactly as it did before these changes. The list view is equally still messed up. If I switch to it while viewing March, I only see ONE event (March 5) and then it jumps to Novembmer ’23. If I hit the back button on the list view, the page starts with Feb, then April, then goes to March where it shows several events from March 25 an 26, but that’s it. So there are still many events not showing up, or showing up in the wrong place and in the wrong order.

Hi @mpedersen, I appreciate you trying it out and doing more debugging on your end. It is somewhat related. I’d like to learn more about this — could you provide the following version of the following?

    1. PHP
    2. WordPress
    3. The Events Calendar Plugins
    4. Theme and Version

Thanks for sharing the findings here. I’d be glad to help you out further.

Hi @mpedersen, I can confirm that it is related to the known issue we’re working on.

Since the workaround didn’t work on your end, you could also try downgrading to the last working version of your website. To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

    Hang in there,
    Abz

Well, that is reassuring to know you’ve at least confirmed the problem. I look forward to the fix, and will gladly test it out when ready. Just let me know! Thanks, Abz,

    Matt

Hi @mpedersen, we’d definitely update everyone on this thread. For now, please downgrade to the last working version of the plugin. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/accessing-older-plugin-versions/

    Hi there,

    We’re back with good news!

Our developers have just released the Events Calendar version 6.0.7 and Events Calendar PRO version 6.0.6, which resolves the issue where editing an event resets the start date when the Compact Date Format is not default.

Please update your Events Calendar plugins to include that and other improvements to your website.

    Best regards,
