    Hello,

I’m experiencing a problem with the events on one of my sites. They don’t show up anymore in both back-end and front-end.

Strange thing is that I can see the events in numbers at the top:
All (67) | Published (58) but when I click on All or Published I can’t see them anymore. However, the Concepts (9) do show up correctly.

I also can’t add any new events, I get the following error message (translated from Dutch so the original could be slightly different):
“Your event details are not correct and can’t be published. First correct these mistakes: Something went wrong saving your event in the index table. Please inform your side-admin about this.”

    I already tried:
    – deactivating all plugins
    – switching to standard theme
    – database repair / optimize
    – save permalinks settings again
    – the following:
We had some database problems earlier after migrating to SSL. After that I had to use this solution to be able to create any new pages and posts:
    https://wpindexfixer.tools.managedwphosting.nl/

Could this be related and if so, can I use the solution above for the events as well? If yes, what code should I use?

    Thanks in advance!

    Marjon

  • Hey. what does the filter show?? future events?? I had a similar situation where I could not see any events but it said All(10) Published(10). The filter was set to future events so I was not able to view it. When i changed it back to past events and clicked apply..I was able to see all of my events. Not sure if this is the case because you had some other db problems.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

The filter did show Future events indeed, but unfortunately switching to All events still doesn’t show all events.

I also can’t publish any new ones, they only appear as Drafts.

I really hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like maybe a database issue. Have you tried repairing the database?

Hello Don, thanks for your reply.
Yes, I tried both repair and optimize of the database.
    Unfortunately, this made no difference.

Thankfully I found a solution myself!

    Here’s what I did in case anyone else has the same problem;
    – I exported all events through the WP export function. If you wish you can also export the plugin settings through Events > Settings > Admin settings
    – After that I completely deleted the plugin and it’s data. Through Events > Settings > Admin settings you can totally delete everything, don’t just de-install from the plugin screen because the events won’t get deleted then.
    – I installed the plugin again
    – I imported the events again
    – Optionally import the plugin settings again

This made it work, so I guess I just did a total reset of everything related to this plugin. There must have been something wrong that got fixed this way.

Hope this can be of use for anyone!
