Events not showing up on calendar

I have had the following issues:
Posterboard version
– Events that are added via the dashboard are not showing up in the calendar
-Have 8 categories but only 6 of them are showing in the drop down under categories
-Not all of the tags are showing up that I’ve created

Things I’ve tried:
-deactivating the plugin
-checking cron

Any thoughts on what might be causing any of these issues?
