Events Page Missing Events on Load

  • Only the events search bar is displayed on the assigned Events page, with no events listed beneath. We’ve tried creating a page as well as a post with short code [events_list limit=”10″], but that strategy doesn’t pull in any events either. The events are there-if you use the “View Types” search, and select “Lists” or “Grouped Lists”, the past and future events are displayed as expected. They just don’t load on the events page. We’ve tried changing the event dates, changing the assigned events page, updating permalinks; we’ve updated all plugins, and we’ve tested the plugin on a default theme.
    It doesn’t seem to be a plugin conflict, as the events do load when they are selected from the search features. Are there known plugins that conflict with Events Manager?

    I would suggest that you try installing our WP Safe Mode plugin, to rule out whether another plugin or your theme could be causing this. This can be done via the regular plugin installer and searching “WP Safe Mode”. With that, you can test your site with other plugins deactivated and running a default theme such as Twenty Twenty without it affecting your other visitors.

    Thank you for your response. We discovered that our events didn’t show on the events list page because they require membership (via the related Paid Memberships Pro – Events Add On). Our goal is to show the events, but require membership to register. We had enabled “Show Excerpts to Non-Members?” via the Advanced Settings of Paid Memberships Pro – Events Add On, however, we also had to set
    “Filter searches and archives?” to No, to allow non-members to see the events on the events page. It would be ideal if we didn’t have to make that change for all searches and archives, however, this config should work for now.
