I have a group of events that vary from a single day event to one that happens across three days with different times.

Is this possible with The Events Calendar?
Will custom fields make this possible with The Events Calendar?

I’ve only scratched the surface of this plugin…looks great! I’d like it to be the plugin of choice if I can.

    Examples:
    Title: Class One
    Date: Jan 30, 2015
    Time: 5pm – 9pm

    Title: Class Two
    Classroom Instruction: Jan 30, 2015, 5pm – 9pm
    Field Instruction: Jan 31, 2015, 7am – 11am

    Title: Class Three
    Classroom Instruction: Jan 29, 2015, 5pm – 9pm
    Classroom Instruction: Jan 30, 2015, 5pm – 9pm
    Field Instruction: Jan 31, 2015, 7am – 11am

    Howdy,

That should be possible even with the basic plugin. Just Add a new event for each class, and give it the title “Class [number]” with the appropriate date. If you wish to group them together you could assign them all to the same category or tag.

    Cheers!

I’ve looked through your forum and other pages, but I don’t see a “grouping” feature. Can you point me in the right direction?

In working with the plugin this morning, I think I can use custom fields if i just incorporate them into loop where you display the date/time of the event. My client basically has about 50 courses per year (i.e., weekly), most are two-day courses that run Friday night and Saturday morning (two different locations). The three-day course typically runs Thursday and Friday night with a Saturday morning. All designed to accommodate work schedules.

    Thanks very much!

    Howdy Teracomp,

I am glad you gave the plugin a spin.

The category and tags functionality can be accessed from the Add and Edit event pages. It’s exactly like a customary WP blog post. You can add new categories with the Add New Category button. You can add Tags just by typing in the Tag box and pressing enter.

If you have additinal fields then you are running the PRO addon. If you have a regular license to the PRO plugin and need faster more in depth support, don’t forget about our forums over there. They are checked every day! Premium Support Forums

    Cheers!
