    Hello,

I wrote earlier and was experiencing issues with the tickets plugin.

Sometimes, I go to check on the tickets to see if it’s working for the check out.

This time, I tried from my mobile phone. First try, I clicked get ticket and it just got stuck on loading and never loaded.

I tried on my computer, then it worked.

    Second try, it worked again.

It’s as if some cache or cookies go dormant, then after the first ping when it’s not able to load that primes it somehow and then it works again.

It’s hard to re-create this issue, because I don’t even know what’s triggering it and just have to wait for a while to get it to work.

    Any ideas?

Upon further inspection, I noticed an error with the PayPal SDK – even after switching to another paypal account.

I think your integration with the PayPal SDK is a bit broken after longer periods of not using it – the first connection after a longer period of it not being used cannot connect or load the checkout page.

    Hi @increaseweb604

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue. Let me help you with this one.

Could I ask for a screenshot of the error you’ve encountered with the SDK? Also, could you provide an event URL where we can try to checkout your tickets? I want to check it further on my side.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hello Darian.

There was no error displayed, it just put the page into a continuous loop and could not load the page.

I have since ditched PayPal and used stripe. It’s working better. So I cannot further investigate that issue with you.

Yesterday some customers experienced a 403 issue. I’m not sure if it’s due to other issues though because my I/O usage of my instance spiked on the same day, so I’ll need to investigate more to find the real issue.

I did however notice that there’s a syntax error on the tickets purchasing page, and it only shows up there.

You can view it yourself by:

    1. Go to https://thetrufflefarm.ca/event/parksville-event-winter-wreath-workshop/ and purchase some tickets

    2. Once on the ticket checkout page, right click and inspect the page (ideally with Google chrome)

    3. Go to console, you’ll see two syntax errors there.

    4. The syntax error info will be limited. Reload the tickets checkout page by refreshing, and it should show some more information for some reason.

I have also attached the syntax errors via this link:

Overall.. this is a new issue and it is intermittent and I’m having a hard time re-creating this new issue.

I have removed all caching plugins to eliminate that for the time being, however it is hosted on a litespeed hosting environment so I think there’s some server side caching.

    Hi @increaseweb604

I tried replicating the issue by following the steps you provided, but I could not replicate it on my side.

However, we have a similar case where the WP version is causing the issue. Downgrading to WP 6.1 resolves the issue on his side.

As for the Litespeed cache, you can try configuring it based on the recommended configuration from our knoweldgebase article, and see if the issue persists.

    See- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/litespeed-cache/

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.
