Events too far in the future not displaying

I have entered a new event that takes place at the end of Oct., so just over 4 months from today. It doesn’t display in the lists generated by shortcode. If I change the date to 2 months from now, it displays. At 3 months + 1 day, doesn’t display. It seems that my list types are somehow only displaying events that occur in the next 2 months. How do I change this so that all upcoming events are displayed, even a year out?
