    Hey guys,
I would like to use the events calendar on my site in two different ways. On the one hand to show events publicly and on the other hand to show some events only for logged-in members.
I use the ultimate member plugin for user management. This is also supported by the events calendar.
Event pages restricted by ultimate member work fine. But those events are still displayed on the events page, as well as in the events calendar widget. Although without a title, other information is displayed.
I put a picture of how it looks here (3rd september should′nt be displayed): https://imgur.com/a/kb5ZBVv

Please fix the problem or inform me how i can do it on my site. Or am I wrong with you and have to ask ultimate member?

Best regards and thanks in advance

    Hi there,

I’m afraid I can only provide limited support for a Third Party Integration like this, but I do have a couple of links I can direct you towards.

I think what you might want to implement is a category of Events for Members Only, and then you can also filter your calendar at the front to only show these events.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/making-a-members-only-calendar/

You can also try changing the User Permissions as well: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/admin-roles-and-permissions/

I think you just need a way to identify those member only events, and then a way to hide them. I hope that helps!

    Hey,
    thanks for answering.

The second method in the article you mentioned is excactly what i was looking for, but unfortunaly, the syntax in the article seems to be outdatet. Maybe you have to change someting in your article? I cant even find CSS-classes named like the one in the article, on my website. With the classes given, there even does not seem to be a way to hide a whole event on the events page and in the widget. Pity!

Wouldn′t it be a sensible thing to give all parts of an events-category a class? Maybe you can include something like this in the upcoming versions or find another way to make a thing like this possible. (Or just say what i did wrong ??)

Would love to here back from you

    Hi there,

Yes you would be correct, that link does have to do with the V1 views, however I am not sure if it will be updated for V2 views, that is something that some of our colleagues may work on in the future, but because it is a 3rd party plugin integration they are not our top priority. You can certainly try to modify the code yourself as the article says.

Some of the CSS classes have changed with the V2 update, so that CSS class may be slightly different.

If you want to submit an idea as a feature request, you can do so here! https://app.productstash.io/the-events-calendar-suite-roadmap#ideas

You could also search around in this forum (if you have not already) for someone that has maybe already created an integration like this before. This is about the extent of support I can provide, but please leave us a feature request idea if you like!
