Every occurrence of event on the loop shows the same date

Im looping a set of events, which includes several occurrences of the same recurring event.

All this cat pictures are from the same event with multiple occurrences. The dog and the no picture events are different, non-recurring, events.
To display those dates, im using the function
eo_get_the_startwhich I believe should display the date for the specific occurrence being shown. Is that correct?
