Every resource duplicated when ACF is on

  • It took us a while to figure this out (Building a WP staging and turning on/off plugins 1×1), but when ACF is turned on, our site load time doubles, and we get really bad ratings in Page Speed Insights.

    Running it through tools.pingdom, we discover that a great majority of the elements on the site are loading 2x.

    But when we deactivate ACF, the site fails entirely.

    Are we using ACF improperly? Can you let us know what we need to do to get this resolved? Feel pretty held hostage at the moment, and that’s not your fault, but we need to figure out a solution and understand why this is happening. Happy to pay you for your time to come in to the site and get things resolved as well.
