Every time Blogvi theme Update my custom templates disappear

    Hello peregrinethemes Admins, every time I update the Blogvi theme, my custom templates disappear. This issue has occurred twice now. I have manually uploaded the custom template PHP pages. on wp-content> themes > Blogvi > my custom temeplate.php and they Some of my files are being deleted or disappearing.

    I have already contacted my hosting provider, and they claim it is not their error. I have also checked my backups, but the files are not there either. It seems that they are simply vanishing. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

    Hello @cybercartcomicscom,

    If users wants to modify a theme files ( or create custom templates ) we do recommend to create a child theme so when users update theme ( parent theme ) they don’t lose their changes.

    But Blogvi is already a child theme of Bloglo, now you can’t create sub theme of it. So every time you update theme your changes will be overwritten. This will happened with any child theme. We recommend you to keep the backup copy of your custom template and after updating your theme, put that template file back in the theme folder.
