    Hi there,

I have disabled logged in user caching at the moment.
A friend of mine called me up after i launched my webshop yesterday notifying me of this issue.

He logged into a account he made and went to the account dashboard, all fine there.
But when he went back to the homepage and clicked the menu icon to slide the sidebar open.
It showed Hello, TestAccount (Which is the account i did a couple tests with and logged in with first)

I wonder if it’s an issue with my setup or it’s a known bug/issue ?

    Would really appreciate the help!

Can’t seem to edit my post anymore.
Wanted to add something for clarification.

The name TufanTest you see in the screenshots provided gets shown for everyone on the website that logs into their own account instead of seeing their own names.

EDIT: both on desktop and mobile alike it shows the first logged in user.

Might it be possible cuz of Redis object cache?
I’m lost here, my webshop has been online since last night.
Luckily no1 registered yet except some friends to test some stuff out and this came to attention

    Hi,

If you have enabled object cache , yes , that’s the thing I would suggest you to disable it first and see how it goes

I have seen such case before that plugin/theme put certain private information into object cache and doesn’t differentiate based on actual user.

you can enable the advance debug log to ON , then check the HTML source code , at bottom of it , it will mention the cache tag and timestamp , you can verify if all login user has same timestamp or different ones

if they are different, that means the cache itself is newly generated , but something (maybe object cache) that contains incorrect data.

    Best regards,

I have no clue what causes it.
I disabled object cache completely and the issue was still there.
Enabled disabled ESI also wasn’t the issue.
Now i just excluded customer/subscriber role from caching till i can find the cause

    I’m truly lost ??
