I noticed that the weather widget is suddenly not populating anything on the front end of our website. The Temperature icon displays a broken image link icon and all weather stats (humidity, clouds, sunrise, etc.) are listed but no actual information is shown after the stat title.

I tried rolling back the plugin in case that made a difference but the only change was our city/state displayed properly but everything noted above was still missing.

I have also deactivated all plugins other than Location Weather and tried a default WordPress theme but the details from the weather widget were still missing.

Thoughts? I am using the free version of the plugin. Thanks in advance!

    Hi @tderouindesign,

We are sorry to hear that you are facing such an issue.

We would appreciate it if you could share the page link with us where you have placed the shortcode. We would like to investigate why the icon is broken and the other issues as well.

Your understanding and cooperation would be highly appreciated.

    Have a nice day!

    Hello @pulak00,

When I went to retrieve the shortcode the weather widget is working properly again! Perhaps this was a temporary issue with the OpenWeather API Key?

I am following another support thread on here and saw you noted “If you are using the SiteGround hosting and the optimization plugin, you can exclude the class ‘weather-icon’ from being lazyloaded.”

We are using Siteground but their optimize plugin is not installed. Is it worth installing that plugin and excluding the class in case that attributed to the missing icon and weather data?

Let me know what you think. Thank you!

    Hi @tderouindesign,

Yes, it can be a temporary issue and it should be fixed by now.

Yes, excluding the class name proved effective for other users. We have implemented the necessary measures to permanently resolve the issue in the upcoming version of the plugin. A new version of the plugin will be released within the next couple of days. Updating the plugin will rectify the issue. If you require an immediate solution, you can proceed with the class exclusion process as previously discussed.

Your understanding and cooperation would be highly appreciated.

    Have a nice day!
