• Hi – I have been receiving complaints that my WordPress blog appears blue in Internet Explorer 8. That is, everything except images are a deep, dark blue color that make it very difficult to read. In addition, it doesn’t seem to format correctly so that my banner image doesn’t show properly. In short, it’s screwed up in IE 8. I can’t check it easily since I don’t have IE (I’m on a Mac), but I assume that a large number of potential readers do. Firefox works fine on PCs, or so I am told, as does Safari. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

I should add that I am not a WordPress programmer (or any kind of programmer at all) so I need an easy solution. I am running WordPress 3.1.2 with a Twenty Ten theme, hosted at DreamHost. My blog is:

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks a lot for looking, but that’s very strange… my wife just two days ago sent me a screenshot from her work, showing my blog clearly as deep blue in IE. I guess that if it looks OK for most people, I won’t worry. Maybe it’s something on her end. I’ll have to ask around to see if other people have the same problem.
