Everything is slow about the plugin

I first installed Wise Chat in 2018 and did a test run with friends and it performed what I would call “normally”: no slowdown of page load and easy anonymous log-in.

This week I have returned to implementing Wise Chat but it takes a very long time (more than a minute, maybe three) to load and logging in anonymously takes a very long time as well and gives an error message although it allows entry.

Following the help/FAQ about possible causes of slow performance, I disabled the All In One WP Security plugin but there is no noticeable change in loading or in logging in.

I’m using Firefox on Ubuntu and there is noting in the Network tab in the dev console to link Wise Chat to the almost unusable performance. The end point gets a 200 status. What other checks can I perform? Page is https://www.AbengNews.com/my-turn
