Everything u’re missing from ACF and much more!!!

Although I love ACF itself and use it in all my sites, I think it lacks some critical features that I have to code myself or find in complementary plugins, which I don’t like because as we all know it increases the chances of incompatibilities, errors, bugs and maintenance.

I’m amazed with ACF-Extended, period. Not only includes everything I’ve always been missing from ACF, it also has extra features that are in fact really, really helpful such:

• Create custom post types, taxonomies, option pages from an easy and powerfull UI, no need for extra code and/or plugins
• Bi-directional fields (a timesaver for admins and content editors)
• Really improved relationship fields
• Some extra field types that may seem basic, although are technically complex, but ACF does not include, so u need to code them from scratch or inject some code to populate radios or selects
• Frontend forms (goodbye to coding ACF forms from scratch)
• Single meta save (saves multiple fields as a single one, lightening DB load and u don’t have to learn extra code to retrieve field values, etc, it works like ACF usually does)
• Display fields based in user roles
• Change field settings based on location (backend, frontend or both)
• Custom conditional validation and error message for every field
• Set fields for global conditional logic (great feature that anables interaction between different field groups fields. Example: u can hide field 1 from field group 1 based on field 1 from field group 2)
• And an endless and usefull list of amazing features

One of the most notizable things is that every feature I’ve tried so far (a lot of them) has work beautifully in both, single and multisite, no bugs at all, which is not that common between complex plgins where errors start to show up sooner or later.

I don’t know Konrad personally, but offers a great support always with detailed and helpfull answers. I gotta say that although the site has no documentation section, each feature page has the enaugh explanations and example code to learn how to use it, so my tickets were simple general dbouts instead of cries for help, which there were none.

I also want to highlight that Konrad is a plugin author who really listens to your feedback and requests. I’ve been a Pro user for just a few months and he already has added my request to his roadmap and will be available for the next patch. And the request wasn’t an easy one ‘Payment Field with Stripe & PayPal Express gateways’!!!

I don’t really have anything wrong to say. Great in everyway!
