So we are supposed to “the webfonts-folder outside of the wp-content/cache folder” but you’re not saying where we’re supposed to put it?

Also, WP Rocket has an automatic preload, so is it that bad ? I mean, in all cases the fonts will be recached through the preload, so does it have real added value to move the fonts outside of this location?

    Thanks

It doesn’t matter where, as long as it’s outside the wp-content/cache folder. Change the value in the ‘Save font files to…’ to e.g. /omgf-webfonts and you’re good. OMGF will take care of moving the files for you. Don’t forget to regenerate the stylesheet!

WP Rocket isn’t bad at all. It’s a great plugin, it just doesn’t play well with other plugins using the wp-content/cache-folder, e.g. OMGF.

And no, they won’t be recached, because something that is removed, can’t be recached. ??

Ok so if I move the folder, the fonts will be cached and will always remain static. According to you, should they be regenerated from time to time? I mean do they need “updates”? because they are google fonts so they may be updated in the source?
