Evolve parse error syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /options.php

  • Used this theme before with no problems. New install without touching anything gives me:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/evolve/library/functions/options.php on line 1
    Trouble is ALL the options file code is on line 1
    No additional plug ins installed.
