evolve theme showing up on half of mobile phone screen in portrait position

Can anyone please let me know how to let the theme be responsive to mobile phones. I have been searching all over the internet for a solution but no luck. I reinstalled the theme and buddypress and my other plugins are deactivated. half of my screen is white the webpage does not extend to fill out the screen and the images and text are extremely small you need a magnifying glass to see anything. Thats the best description I think I can give.

Please anyone let me know if you have a solution for this. Thank you

In your portrait mode. Scroll down your website and find the largest and widest content. This is the one that’s breaking your layout.
Remove it.

Hi All, It seems I’m having a similar/same problem, but i’m not understanding your solution. I don’t know what Portrait Mode is. I have the Evolve theme and it does resize a little weird, especially with the menu disappearing, but nothing I can’t live without, EXCEPT for this one page. I created an extra page using Page Builder plug-in and it looks great on my computer and on my laptop, but a friend of mine said the site didn’t look right on her Kindle. For some strange reason the words get all displaced. Page builder plug-in has some responsive layout options, but they don’t seem to fix the problem. Please look at my site and click on “Stuff For Sale” and you’ll see what i’m talking about. I thank you in advance.

I don’t think the web browser on kindle is a “full” browser.
Even the mobile safari browser has some limitations.
The web browser on Kindle probably could not interpret standard css media queries.
