    Hi etc,

I’m getting this message when attempting to get into the widget section:
“The editor has encountered an unexpected Error.” accompanied by two clickable boxes – one saying ‘Attempt Recovery’ and the other “Copy Error”. the first does nothing the second reveals:

HI. First, let’s make sure that no cache interferes. CTRL+F5 on Windows or CMD+SHIFT+R on a Mac. Then try again, please. If the problem persists, it probably comes from some plugin conflict. Please deactivate them all and see if the problem is still there. If the error is gone after plugin deactivation, start activating them one by one while checking – until you find out which is causing the problem. BTW, your accessibility plugin doesn’t seem to be working; maybe try to deactivate it first. Do let me know how it went.

    Hi Evgeny,

Thanks for your suggestions and unfortunately all were tried with no result.

Do I reinstall the theme, which sounds a tad worrying and a little drastic?

    Cheers,
    Keith

I don’t think this has anything to do with the theme, so no – don’t reinstall it. When you deactivated all plugins – did the problem go away? Try to switch to another theme. What happens then? Try to install the “Classic widget” plugin; see if it helps. If nothing helps – I suggest you send us an email with access to your admin area and FTP. If you are willing to do so, of course. We will try to sort it out.

Hello, I would like to inform you that I had the same types of errors opening any article in edit. I have at wp 6.1.1 and evolve 4.3.6.
But I followed the theme author’s advice: CTRL+F5 from within wordpress, on the same browser (Firefox) page where the error appears. The error was resolved immediately and now articles and posts open correctly in edit. Thanks Evgeny Viner!

here is the error log i was getting:
