    If you are the administrator of your server, remove exec from the disable_functions setting in your php.ini. If you don’t know what that is, you are not likely the system admin. So the next thing is to ask your webhost (or other system administrator) if they will enable exec on your server.

    If they will not enable it, there are only two options left. You can switch to a supported webhost (listed on the Installation page), or you can use the EWWW IO API: https://ewww.io/plans/

    The API has a few other benefits beyond working on every webhost:
    1. improved lossless compression
    2. lossy compression with dramatic (30-80%) savings
