I have no way to track sites which are using the plugin. So I can’t offer you more than what you can get yourself. Look at other posts. Some users put a link to their site to demonstrate issues they had. Most of these issues are solved now, so sites should look nice.

Maybe some users may want to put a link here ?

    Here’s a couple of examples:
    – a website in 7 languages for a guest-house in Luxembourg: https://bivels.lu.
    – a website in 2 languages for a Luxembourgian artist: https://mjk-art.eu.

    Thanks for that Christian.

I notice that with both of those example websites, the URL is formatted with each of the pages having a ‘page ID’ e.g. /?page_id=2.

Just wondering if that is a requirement of polylang, or just an unrelated WordPress Permalink settings choice for those websites?

Is it possible to customise polylang so it uses page name, instead of page ID? How much customisation of the page name/Permalink is available?

You can use default or pretty permalinks as you want.

Polylang does not modify permalinks for posts, pages, categories and post tags. However they are modified for archives as there is a need to add the language information (except for the default language for which you have the choice to hide this information).

So, for example, if you want to activate Polylang on a non-multilingual existing site, all your permalinks can be kept.

Since this thread has just been bumped, I thought I’d mention that my site is currently using Polylang: https://www.stuartmcmillen.com/

I may possibly change to another non-WordPress based platform in 2013, but for now it is WordPress + Polylang.

Most are under development but Polylang proved again and again to be a life saver plugin!
