• Been using the plugin for years and recently moved to a new hosting provider.

My previous provider allowed 500 emails per hour, but now I need to cut down to 300 per hour.

    CURRENT SETTINGS:
Maximum number of emails that can be sent in a 24-hr period: =0000
Maximum number of emails that can be sent per batch (every 5 minutes): =5
Interval between emails in a single batch, in milliseconds: =5000

I seem to be able to slow it down with about 25%. Any help?

Here the error message received on the settings above.

Domain xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.co.za has exceeded the max emails per hour (305/300 (101%)) allowed. Message will be reattempted later

Maximum number of emails that can be sent in a 24-hr period:
    300 per hour * 24 hours = 7200
then subtract from this cut-off the number of emails you want to send from your blog (e.g. registration procedures, activation and unsubscribing of EasyMail, notices from other plugins etc.).
So, we say 6700 or 7000, it depends on the number of outgoing emails other than newsletters.

Maximum number of emails that can be sent per batch (every 5 minutes):
If there is a batch every 5 minutes, it means 12 batches per hour, so:
300 email per hour / 12 = 25 is the maximum, you could put about 20 or 22 to be sure to let other emails than newsletters go out.

Interval between emails in a single batch, in milliseconds:
The default 0 usually is ok. It means the interval between emails in a single batch, in milliseconds: so your setup (5000) means 5 seconds between emails… a lot, it could be the reason of the slowness.
