Excellent Customer Service, Great Features
-
Just started to get to know Zip Recipes this morning. Ran into a bit of trouble due to a script blocker I was running in my browser. Gezim (the developer of Zip Recipes) was online and helped me find the problem via chat in short order. I had previously d/l’d WP Recipe Maker and played with it a bit, but the admin interface just isn’t a good fit for me, so I went looking for alternatives and found Zip Recipes. If Zip Recipes works out the way I think it will once I get to know the plugin better, I’ll likely stick with it and upgrade to a paid version, if only to support Gezim’s efforts.
Anyone even thinking of trying this plugin owes it to himself to try it. Top notch software from a friendly, professional man.
Update, April 7, 2017: Still happy with the way this works, I have decided to upgrade to a paid version. I found that there is a monthly subscription plan, which gives me the option to keep my costs under control while I’m still trying to build revenue.
Another thing I really like about Zip Recipes is the ability to link ingredients, which should help to build revenue.
I have been using — and programming, off and on — computers for over 35 years. Sometimes I feel like an old “stick in the mud” when I see mediocre software being peddled as the best thing since the first time “Hello, world” appeared on a CRT. Most software simply does not live up to its hype. What I see in Zip Recipes is no more and no less than I was led to believe would be in it — and that’s a pretty good bargain for the free and low-priced versions. (I haven’t looked at the pricier options yet, so I can’t honestly evaluate them.) With courteous, efficient support to boot, this is a top-shelf experience.
