I have some course material I’ve just been making available behind a register wall using RCP. I’d long thought I should move to an LMS, but just couldn’t get over the hump of all those un-necessary features and complexity.

WPComplete (Pro version) nailed it for me. It gives my 90% of what I need from an LMS with only 10% of the complexity. It’s perfect for my use case which is tracking student completion and making a mess o’ content more easily navigable (by marking menu links to completed items as complete so students don’t have to figure out where they are each time they access the courseware).

To be clear this is not a full LMS. It’s just the parts I happened to need, and as such it’s made me very happy. It’s clearly well-coded, and support has been fantastic too. 5 stars.

How do you manage multiple courses?

Say you have three where each course has Modules and then lessons.

What are you doing to manage this structure? Creating parent-child pages could become nightmarish. Right?

If not, sees simple and elegant.

@mgandycfo – Our plugin is flexible enough that it’ll work with how ever you wish to organize it. I believe most people just organize their courses (and modules and lessons) using WordPress’s natural hierarchical navigation structure.
