Excellent Plugin

  • Events Calendar Pro is an excellent plugin. We are using it for our congregation, and it enables our website to be event- and calendar-centric.

    The four star is simply because the default graphics are not quite up to par and there’s no “gallery” of styles. Up to this point, we haven’t enlisted a volunteer to re-work the layouts, we are very happy with the functionality provided.

    The four star is simply because the default graphics are not quite up to par and there’s no “gallery” of styles.

    We intentionally try to provide a clean and fairly unopinionated layout that can inherit styles from the active theme – but a gallery of styles is an interesting idea (and please do feel free to add this as a feature request) ??

    Just in case you or the volunteer working on this finds it useful, please note that we do also integrate with the Theme Customizer, which makes a wide range of tweaks really easy.

    As I said, we love the functionality, and the layout gets the job done (which is what you were going for). We are using a purchased them (Church & Event from Vamtam), which we tweaked to be even more event-centric, thanks to the functionality provided by Events Calendar Pro, so it’s not bad.

    At some point, I would like to revisit usability and design of the event detail page and the /events/ page layouts. Our members are (slowly) moving towards RSVP and ticket purchases, which makes the staff happy!
