• I thought you’d all get a kick out of my facebook rant (lol):
Oh and hey, to ANYONE who is into Self-Hosted WordPress (like I am) the I learned my lesson that these two security plugins are REQUIRED for a reasonably secure site! The ‘WordFence’ plugin actually malware and virus scans your site on a regular basis, has a shitload of options,PLUS (New!) it has it’s own built in ‘cache’ (speed buffer) that speeds up your content delivery by THIRTY (yes 30 times faster site !) and then there is iThemes Security (yes, someone really dropped the ball on that name – yes, he had only ONE JOB – to name the plugin and he called a security plugin ‘iThemes Security’ (?) He’d be SO fired if I was his boss (lol) anyways, yes, the name sucks but the WordPress plugin ROCKS! It does all kinds of WordPress security NINJA moves like renaming and relocating your WordPress admin login (they can’t hack it if they can’t find it – lol – brilliant) The plugin is really FUn to configure of you are a techie like me who likes to tweak settings… Ok, I’m done now ??
