Excellent plugin. Don’t bother with the others.

  • I tried almost every single syntax highlighter plugin currently available, and this one is by far the best-designed, with the most customization options and best support. Great selection of themes. The premium bundle is well worth it. Excellent work.

    I see as per Kevin’s post in GitHub that better customization options are in the works for adding custom themes, so I’m looking forward to that. ?? Hopefully it’ll be a WYSIWYG kinda thing. The current solution for creating a custom theme works, but it’s inconvenient, so I don’t use it. In the meantime, I am just using a premium theme I like that I’ve tweaked very slightly with CSS (background color) to make it match my site’s design better.

    Thanks for the review! I’m planning on a bunch of features over the next few months. Some things, like custom themes, I’m stalling on until WordPress adds attribute exclusions to the pattern sync feature, which seems planned but I’m not 100% sure. That way you can persist a block’s state (theme and all) and exclude only the code. Then when you update a color, it propagates everywhere across all blocks. That will save me from outputting color variables directly into the page. But lets see. Eventually I may just need to add something now if the demand is there. And yes, I want to make it visual to the extent that you see it updating in real time as you make adjustments.
