Excellent solution

  • For me, this is exactly what I was looking for. I run a simple HOA web site and I wanted to have the ability for the board of directors to maintain a small blog, but also have some forums for the homeowners to communicate with the board, between themselves, and discuss different things. However, I would like to keep the forums (topics and posts) from being seen when a user is not logged in. I give a four-star rating because it missed one of my needs. Keep up the awesome work!

  • I use bbPress with the Paid Memberships pro membership plugin and the bbPress extension which allows me to limit access to the forums.

    While I realize it would entail another plugin, in your case it might be a good solution because you could segment the levels even further. For example a level where only board members could interact along with one where the homeowners could communicate with the board and themselves.
