I just wanted to voice my unhappiness with your change to a yearly license fee. Unfair and not needed. Gouging customers who don’t sign up before December 31st is also poor form.

Thank you for your kind words, they are greatly appreciated.

However, I think that I still have some work to do to qualify for “well documented” – most of the documentation is inline (embedded in the plugin itself) and I still haven’t got around to write a proper documentation (like a “manual”) on wplab.com because I spend most of the time implementing new features – and with WP-Lister for Amazon…

    kind regards,

You are too humble! There’s a tutorial video, plus the ‘tooltips’ within the plugin, both of which make it extremely easy. Most plugins only come with a partially completed FAQ and weak instructions.

My only other suggestion would be to think about adding a ‘Regular’ license category, which allows for WooCommerce Order creation based on sales. I suspect this would be a commonly needed feature, and the full $129 license may be a bit much for some.

    Cheers,

    Hi Jason,

you’re right – but at this time I can’t maintain more than these two versions. It’s already enough effort as it is – which is already twice the effort for testing before releasing a new version.

So the idea is that the basic “listing features” are free – but everything regarding inventory sync and order processing is only available in the paid version. If you get that many sales that you really really need inventory sync and order creation, then at least in theory you should be earning enough to pay for WP-Lister Pro.

Sometimes I add some features of WP-Lister Pro to the free version. For example calculaterd shipping services were originally a feature of WP-Lister Pro only, but it’s available in the free version now as well.

Next candidates would be category mapping or item specifics… eventually the free version will grow, but inventory sync and order creation are not supposed to be free. (I know, you weren’t asking for “free”…)

    kind regards,

    Matt

Just a suggestion, didn’t realise it was a maintenance headache ??

My business is low volume/margin, but the convenience of a central order repository is unbeatable when dealing with customer queries.

If this sales channel proves profitable I will be buying a full license just for that feature.

    Cheers,
    Jason
