Dashboard > RP Post Nav > Custom Display > Excerpt Length > Enter the number of excerpt in word(default is 15, minimum of 1)

Many thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated … the problem for me is not the length … its the use of shortcodes in my post content

I use Visual Composer and the short codes used by it show up before the text in the excerpt used by your plugin in the front end display.

I am sure this would be the case for other shortcodes in other scenarios … custom galleries etc.

I am guessing there will be a number of other users which will come across the same.

Are there any plans to include the option of the default wordpress excerpt?

About the shortcode, I personally suggest that it’s best to hook them before wp_footer or after wp_header for full width display.

For automatic hook display, you can choose either Top, Bottom or both. Automatic Display hooks inside the content.

About the default wordpress excerpt, I personally customized it to avoid conflicts in wordpress excerpt. So you can customized the length without affecting the general settings of wordpress excerpt.
