Excerpt field is missing in WordPress page editing area

    To whom it may concern:

    I can not find the excerpt field to complete the excerpt input either in classic editor or block editor, could some shed some light about the solution? Thanks.

    In the block editor, “excerpts” is on the right sidebar. In the classic editor, make sure you have “excerpt” enabled in screen options (top, right) and it will appear below the content field.

    Hi @sterndata,

    Thanks for your attention, as you can see in a screenshot(1) of both Classic Editor and Block Editor, I can not see where the Excerpt filed is nor can I find it.

    In Classic Editor, check the Screen Options at the top right.

    Excuse me @sterndata, you probably did not see the screenshot clear in my last reply, in the screenshot, I already clicked open Screen Options and Excerpt option is not there.

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time.
