Excerpt is cut off

  • Hi, I’ve finally figured out how to use a plugin so that my posts have custom excerpts on the blog home page but they’re getting cut off, so only the first few words of the excerpt shows. I can’t change excerpt length using the plugin so I’m assuming I’ve done something elsewhere that is overriding it.

    My theme is paperback (periodical) the plugin is Advanced Excerpt.

    Have you noticed this info at this plugin’s page?:

    Tested up to: 4.0.18

    Apparently this plugin is not regularly maintained.

    There is a good chance it’s probably not compatible with WP 4.8 either.

    Not resolved, this didn’t work.

    Something in the site is preventing plugins from working for the excerpts.

    I know that while I was on wordpress.com I changed the excerpt length in settings but on www.ads-software.com that’s no longer available. How can I undo this?
