Excerpt Is Repeating

    I was using the custom excerpt box under the post, and now it seems to be repeating itself on the main page for every post. how do i get this to stop without going through and deleting every custom post?

  • Hi,

    It seems that your theme is also designed with the_excerpt and you are doing with custom excerpt so it is causing the issue. Now, edit the index.php file of your theme and find the_excerpt and change it to the_contents().

    that just puts the whole post in where the excerpt should be. the custom excerpt used to override anything else, but now it’s repeating.

    downloaded better excerpt plugin and set the length to 0 and that seemed to fix it ?? thanks!
