Excerpt Length Eliminates Read More Link

    No matter what I do – every time I put a custom excerpt length into the shortcode, or the functions.php –

    The “Read More” link disappears.

    I would like to have a custom excerpt length, as well as the read more link. Am I missing something?

    Figured it out. Can’t have ANY text in the “Excerpt” section if you want to use the show link/excerpt length. Took me a while but got it!
