Where would I put this excerpt code? In the event description box or in the specific excerpt field on this same page?

you can add it under events > settings > general > full calendar options > event tooltips format

I tried adding in this placeholder as per the events attributes field. but it doesn’t change the excerpt length when hovering over an event on the calendar, unfortunately.

Also, is it possible to make only the recurring events clickable on the calendar?
We have created a number of non-recurring “private” events, and we don’t want the everyday user to be able to click through to these events (as they aren’t for them)?

At the moment, the workaround I have in place is to make every private event password protected, so when a user does accidentally click on the private event from the calendar, it leads to a password protected page.

Is there a placeholder I can use for this? And if not, would there be some specific code I could use for php?
