excerpt length not working

    Hi,

    I have the widget working on other websites, but on this one neither the widget or the shortcode in a page will show the excerpt. Using: [arpw limit=”5″ cat=”30″ excerpt=”true” excerpt_length=”50″]

    Any help would be great.

    Do you use any post or excerpt related plugin?

    Hi,

    I didn’t think I was, but I have now disabled all plugins and have switched to twenty nineteen theme – still no change in the widget which is set to show one post with a 250 length excerpt and only shows the title – at the bottom of every page. The list of 5 also shows no excerpt.

    Don’t know if it’s relevant but this test site is running PHP Version 7.1.21 and the working version of the site https://www.westwalesschoolofmotoring.com/test-advanced-random-posts-widget/ is running PHP Version 5.6.23-1

    Imported posts did not work, but new posts were fine – so issue resolved. Thanks, Jane
