Excerpt Option disappeared on page

    Hello, I have been using the AirBalloon Lite theme but as this is no longer supported I decided to go with the Smartline Lite theme. I notice however that in the page design the excerpts are not longer visible and it is not an option in the Screen Options. Is this a bug?
    I have tested this with other theme’s and it’s not a an issue.
    Flywheel is my host and I’m on wordpress 4.9.4

    Add this code to the functions.php
    //Add Excerpts to Pages
    add_post_type_support( ‘page’, ‘excerpt’ );
